Passion for Culture

We are empowered to contribute positively to our community, starting from a glass of wine. Collaboration has always been a part of what we do here; whether partnering with charitable organizations, supporting small businesses, or creating a platform for the arts community, we are here to grow together with our community.

The Okanagan Valley

Growing Forward

The Okanagan Valley is Canada’s premier wine-growing region. It's desert-like climate and unique terroir stand to compete alongside old-world wine regions.  With an ever-changing panorama, the valley stretches over 250 kilometers, across sub-regions, each with distinct soil and climate conditions suited to growing a range of varietals from sun-ripened reds to lively fresh and often crisp whites that consistently rank among the world’s best at international competitions.

In the heart of wine country, just minutes from the modern lakeside city of Kelowna, is Grizzli Winery. Conveniently located off Hwy 97 in West Kelowna.

Family Values

Grizzli Winery's namesake has a historical association, as 'Kelowna' is the First Nations name for grizzly bear.

Grizzli was born out of a dream to see a community hub in the heart of the Okanagan Valley, a place welcoming to all. This is an aspiration that the proprietors, along with our Grizzli team are still inspired to accomplish daily.

Grizzli Winery was founded by the Chang family, who immigrated to Canada from Taiwan in the 1990s with the intention of starting a small winery with their passion in winemaking. Years later, this passion grew to wanting to share BC’s gem of wine making culture with the world.
