About the Musicians:

David Sproule

After receiving his Bachelor of Music degree, David chose a career as a skilled piano teacher and a versatile professional pianist. He currently teaches piano throughout the Okanagan Valley and has over 35 years of teaching experience. He has many success stories with his teaching and his professional piano-playing career. David has performed with professional singers and instrumentalists. He played in a “Funk” style band called “Monifunk” & recently performed in the jazz/blues duet “Doublesharp.”David is now happy to perform with Chris Patton in an exciting new duet, “Cabernet du Jour,” featuring the inspiring vocalist Chris Patton. “Cabernet du Jour” is an eclectic mix of jazz, popular and contemporary songs.

One of David’s past accomplishments was performing several times with the Prince George Symphony Orchestra. He also played for many semi-professional musical productions while living in Prince George.

Chris Patton

Chris studied voice with Lynda Meiski at Wilfrid Laurier University and then Mallory Carson for several years before venturing into a professional debut.

She performed a Diana Krall-type style of jazz show with Emile D’ Eon and other tremendous musicians from 2006 to 2010 until she began her busy career in coaching professional speaking…and being a mom.

A following was created from performances at local venues in southwestern Ontario, weddings, company retreats, shows, bars, outdoor afternoon events, and private parties.

Earlier this year, Chris teamed up with local guitar whiz Gil Kafka to produce an extraordinary show called The Story of Love – featuring an acoustic variety of music styles – jazz, country, and popular tunes.

And, she now has the extraordinary fortune to sing along with the harmonious piano tunes of David Sproule in Cabernet du Jour – performing modern classics.
