2013 Cabernet Franc Icewine
An intense smell of dried red berries, and jam with caramel toffee and brown sugar, with those flavours continuing on the palate. Rich and sweet without being sticky, it could double as dessert if you don’t have it as an appetizer first.
Harvested later in the year, once the temperature hits below -14C. In order to be a certified VQA Icewine the grapes cannot thaw throughout the processing period, must stay frozen. The longer they remain on the vine the higher sugar content in the grape making them very sweet. 50-55pounds of grapes per bottle
Medium full bodied, medium alcohol, medium-high acidity, full sweet, high flavour intensity, long finish.
